Who
We Are
The Donors Forum is a community of nonprofit, consultant and grantmaking
organizations that is working together to strengthen, advance and
protect the nonprofit sector. When your organization becomes a Forum
Partner, you have access to information, colleagues, programs and
expertise that help your organization fulfill its mission.
Our
Forum Partners include more than 1,200 nonprofit
organizations of all sizes and types, from Chicago and the suburbs,
working in fields ranging from arts, education and the environment
to advocacy, human services and health. We also serve government
agencies, consultants and technical assistance providers who, in
turn, serve the broader community.
What
We Offer Does your organization need examples
of policies, salary surveys or job descriptions?Do
you have questions about venture philanthropy, program related investments
or capital campaigns? Have you ever
needed statistics on giving trends to strengthen your proposals? Are
you an executive director interested in board development and advocacy
issues? A development professional seeking skills for fundraising?
Or a consultant who focuses on strategic planning gifts?
Forum partners receive benefits that will
meet each of these needs and many more. Benefits include:
Research assistance and answers to questions
about fundraising, nonprofit administration, giving statistics,
board development and many other topics unique to nonprofit organizations.
Invitation to the Annual Luncheon in June, our
premier networking event, which hosts more than 800 grantmakers
and nonprofit representatives.

e-newsletter with updates on Donors Forum events, staff and board
changes at regional grantmakers and nonprofits, upcoming grant
application deadlines and recent grants made by regional foundations.

Forum workshops, on topics such as Proposal Writing, Building
