Orientation to the Collection

The Donors Forum Library and Philanthropy Centers offer many tools and resources on philanthropy and nonprofits. To learn how to use these resources, attend one of our free orientations.

For your convenience, we offer six locations throughout the region:

Donors Forum Library - Orientation (DF)
Learn how to use the Library's extensive collection to get the information you need at these free orientations.

  • The funding research process
  • Overview of resources
  • Hands-on tutorial of the FC Search and Illinois Funding Source databases

Donors Forum Library Orientations take place from noon to 1:15 pm, usually every other Tuesday. Our new suite number is 1535. Upcoming Dates are:

Suburban Philanthropy Centers - Orientation
An introduction to the resources and services available at one of our suburban Philanthropy Centers. This session allows optional practice time afterward. Topics:

  • Prospect research process
  • Overview of resources for fundraising and nonprofit management
  • Hands-on tutorial of Illinois Funding Source, WealthEngine.com and FC Search databases
