The purpose of this training to is to provide an overview of the structure and operations of a community foundation, emphasizing the board’s role. This is a good overview for not only board members but new staff as well.

Community Foundation Basics Boot Camp is a program offered by the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance through their GIFT program. The training will be taught by Vice President, Indiana Philanthropy Alliance and Director, GIFT Technical Assistance Program, Rosemary Dorsa.
The curriculum for the day will cover:

•    Grantmaking and Community Leadership
•    Board & Staff Relationships
•    Finance and Investments
•    Operational Sustainability
•    Asset Development
•    Community Foundation Lifecycles

The cost to register for this training is $275 which includes breakfast and lunch.
