Who is included in the disability community in Illinois and how can nonprofit leaders and staff interact most effectively and respectfully with them? Robin Jones, Director of the Great Lakes ADA Center, will provide share practical guidance through this interactive session. Workshop participants will learn about the needs of those with various types of disabilities, and methods for ensuring appropriate response to people who may require assistance and/or who may do things differently than you. Tools for incorporating this information into staff and volunteer training will be provided.  
 
Who should attend: Front-line staff who work in customer service or directly with customers; supervisors; and anyone interested in ensuring that programming and services are fully inclusive.
