To help job seekers in this challenging
economy, Donors Forum has compiled this list of helpful
websites. The list includes the sites of executive recruiting
firms, sites that list job openings, sites that offer
job-search and career advice, and sites offering information
on volunteering.
Remember that:
- You can take workshops
at Donors Forum to enhance your skill set.
- The free Donors
Forum Library is a warm, welcoming
place that offers the second largest collection
of philanthropy and nonprofit-related books
in the country. You may want to use it to brush
up on a particular subject before an interview
or use our online databases to research the
grants made by a particular foundation or the
grants received by a particular nonprofit.
- Forumnotes,
Donors Forum's regular e-newsletter for Members
and Partners, contains job listings submitted
by our Members and Partners. The listings are
toward the end of the newsletter, which is usually
emailed on the first business day of the month.
Back
issues of Forumnotes are posted here
one month after being sent to Members and Partners.
If you work for a Member
or Partner
organization and don't receive Forumnotes,
send an email to info@donorsforum.org.
- The Library also has
binders with descriptions of job openings
at our Member and Partner organizations in which
are available for review during regular
Library hours.
- Many grantmakers and
nonprofits post job openings on their websites.
Check out our list of Members
and our list of Forum
Partners for links to their websites,
which may have job listings.
- Volunteering provides
a way to help others while networking, enhancing
skills, and having fun. See below for organizations
offering volunteer opportunities.
