Member Benefits

Read below to learn more about Donors Forum Member benefits and how to access them. Remember: Member benefits extend to everyone at your organization, so pass this information along to your colleagues!

Illinois Funding Source

Members have free access to Illinois Funding Source. IFS combines:

  • FunderSource: Searchable database of over 3,000 Illinois funders
  • GrantSource: Online database of grants made by a cross-section of the region's foundations and corporate giving programs
  • Donors Forum Online: Online membership directory with contact information for all Member foundations and staff

With passwords distributed to Member staff, individual contact records can be updated online using the "My Account" option. For password assistance, please email ifs-support@donorsforum.org.

If you would like an on-site or conference call orientation for your staff, please contact Moss Cail at (312) 327-8943 or mcail@donorsforum.org.

IFS Orientation
Download a PowerPoint presentation on how you can get the most from IFS. (You must have PowerPoint on your computer. The presentation may take some time to download.)

Foundation Profiles
We recommend that Members review their profiles in FunderSource periodically to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information on your organization. Current profiles reflect updates made during our Fall 2006 Member Profile Verification Process or any updates that have been communicated since then. Please contact mcail@donorsforum.org to make any revisions to your profile.

Participate in GrantSource
Help us to make this resource a reliable and accurate repository of information about Illinois philanthropy! Eighty-five Members, representing 40% of private philanthropy in the state, currently participate. GrantSource allows us to produce trend reports on giving, while providing our Members with an easily accessible medium to share grantmaking data with colleagues. Contact mcail@donorsforum.org if you are not yet a participant.

(Please note: Associate Members do not receive access to IFS with their membership, but can subscribe at a discounted rate. See subscription information.)
