2008 Retreat
The group planned two sessions for the coming year: "Non-Monetary Support: Options for Grantmakers," and "Assessing the Field of Grantseekers: Finding Needs, Measuring Risk, and Listening to the Right Voices." The group may also hold a third session centered on topics raised during last year's debate on strategic philanthropy. Paul Botts and Shelley Davis continue as co-chairs.

Grantmakers for Effective Organizations released this tool to provide program officers with a research-based methodology for conducting due diligence. It includes worksheets, checklists and interview questions.

The Inside Perspective (03/03)
The national affinity group, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, held a discussion in 2002 with 50 funders to explore issues of evaluation in philanthropy.
