Upcoming Programs

Proposal Review Tools | REGISTER
Monday, November 17 | American Medical Association Foundation, 515 N. State St., Chicago | Noon - 2 pm (lunch provided)
What parts of a proposal draw the most attention from different grantmakers? How do you translate the information in a proposal into a rating or a recommendation to present to your board? In this program, sponsored by Donors Forum's Peer Network for New Grantmakers, participants will be asked to present examples of proposal review tools used by their institution, including grant applications, follow-up reports, and internal documents that inform grantmaking decisions. Participants will advance their understanding of the different tools used and learn how each foundation’s proposal review process leads to grant recommendations. Space is limited; please pre-register to reserve your spot.

2008 Summer Retreat
The group planned three sessions for the coming year: "What I Wish I Knew When I Started: Visits to Experienced Funders," "Proposal Review Tools," and "Philanthropy, Social Networking, and Web 2.0." Susan Clark completed her service as co-chair, and Meg Leary was welcomed as new co-chair to work with continuing co-chair Frank Baiocchi.
