Assessment Tools

As a leader in the nonprofit sector, the Donors Forum wanted to experience first-hand the process of implementing the Illinois Nonprofit Principles and Best Practices and share what we learned with other nonprofits. In 2005, the board of directors assessed the organization against the Principles and developed new policies and procedures to ensure that the Donors Forum adheres to the highest standards.

The following tools were developed by the Donors Forum and can be used by other nonprofits as they begin the important work of implementing the Principles and Best Practices.

Organizational Assessment Tools
A guide to help your organization implement the Illinois Nonprofit Principles and Best Practices.

Board Assessment Tools
These tools were developed for the Donors Forum by Marianne Philbin and can be adapted by your organization.
