Success Stories

Recognizing there is no "one-size-fits-all" strategy for managing and governing nonprofits, the Donors Forum has created or compiled a number of resources to support implementation of the Illinois Nonprofit Principles and Best Practices.

The success stories here highlight the best practices of a variety of Illinois nonprofits and put them in the context of the day-to-day opportunities and challenges nonprofits face in fulfilling their missions. Nonprofits can use these case studies to foster board discussion or as part of "virtual" site visits for staff and leadership, providing the opportunity to "tour" and learn from another organization's experience.

They also pair well with the resources, sample policies and workshops Donors Forum provides as part of the Public Trust Initiative. Be sure to review and consider all the opportunities to help your nonprofit succeed.
