Download and View PDF Files

Portable Document Format (PDF) files allow computer users to view electronic documents as they would appear on paper. The Donors Forum of Chicago provides many of its special publications and reports in this format. PDF files are viewed using a program called Adobe Acrobat Reader. This program may already be installed on your computer. Try this first:

1. Click on the link to the PDF document that you would like to view or print.
2. View the PDF file when Adobe Acrobat Reader automatically displays it for you.

If Adobe Acrobat Reader does not start automatically or does not seem to be functioning correctly, Acrobat Reader may not be installed on your computer, it may be improperly installed, or you may have an older version. You can download and install the most recent version of Acrobat by following these instructions. It only takes a few minutes.

1. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free by clicking on the button below.

2. If prompted "What do you want to do with this file?" respond by clicking "Save file to disk." Remember where you've saved this file.
3. To install, double-click on the Adobe Acrobat Reader file that you've saved on your computer. Acrobat will run a self-install program.
4. Return to the Donors Forum web page with the PDF file you wish to view. Click on the link to that file, and Adobe Acrobat Reader should start automatically and display the file for you.
